Colour in Web Design – Orange
Orange feels like an appropriate colour to kick off our Colour in Web Design series. It’s a vibrant colour which conveys excitement, movement and enthusiasm – which are of course all suitable words to describe this blog! Enough of my wishful thinking…
Typically, orange is used to communicate a friendly and inviting feel and is often used in designs that want to appear fun, flamboyant and energetic. If you want to create a calming effect, it is best to stay well away from this colour; its complementary colour, blue, would be a far better choice to achieve that outcome.
